25th Annual Earth Day Celebration at The Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center in Newport Back Bay on April 25th

Attend the 25th Annual Earth Day at The Bay Celebration on April 25, 2015 at the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center in Newport Beach!

On Saturday, April 25, 2015 The Newport Bay Conservancy in partnership with OC Parks presents the 25th annual Earth Day At The Bay at the Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.  

Environmental organizations from across Orange County will be there with booths to share with visitors ways they can help the environment.  Such organizations include the Sea and Sage Audubon Society, Environmental Nature Center, Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center, Pacific Marine Mammal Center, Surfrider Foundation, Friends of Harbors, Beaches and Parks, and American Cetacean Society, will show visitors ways they can help.

Booths will feature family friendly activities including arts and craft, science discovery, and face painting.  There will be a Scavenger Hunt with small prizes for all participants and entry in larger prize drawings. The day will be filled with live music from Danny Maika.

 The City of Newport Beach along with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife will emphasize protection of our tide pools and Marine Protection Areas.  Orange County Bird of Prey Center will display live raptors and emphasize their positive effect on the local environment as will Reptile Rescue of Orange County.

This event is entirely FREE and open to the public!
