Waterworks Aquatics provides a 5 star swimming lesson experience for kids!

Waterworks Aquatics provide a 5 star swimming experience for kids!
Throughout the month of July, Field Trip Boy took a series of 4 swimming lessons with Waterworks Aquatics.  I learned about Waterworks Swim School’s recent expansion and partnership with local LA Fitness facilities in Orange County.  And since I have a LA Fitness right up the street from my house, I signed Field Trip Boy up for Waterworks Aquatics’ unique swim program.

Field Trip Boy is a fairly confident swimmer.  He can tread water unlike any other person I know!  However, this summer he wanted to work on his breast, back and side strokes in order to become a more confident player and try out the water polo team.  He wants to hopefully join the team in the fall.

I selected Waterworks Aquatics’ program for Field Trip Boy because they are a premier swim school that teaches children ages 3 months through adult how to swim.  With a supportive atmosphere and child-centered approach, their goal as a swim center is to encourage children to have fun in the water while improving their water skills.   By utilizing a specialized muscle memory technique, they are able to teach stroke technique at a very quick rate.  I easily saw Field Trip Boy improve on his breast stroke after his first lesson.

Waterworks Aquatics carefully matched Field Trip Boy with an instructor named Marton who understood my son’s capabilities and helped him reach his full potential.  Each lesson was structured yet flexible to meet the needs of Field Trip Boy and allowed him to make steady progress toward his goals and thrive in a safe, comfortable environment.

Marton was amazing with Field Trip Boy!  Sometimes my son can get a bit “squirrely” in the water, but Marton did a great job at reigning him back in and helping him refocus.  There were a lot of “high fives” going on between them in the pool when I was watching!

Not only did Marton teach Field Trip Boy stroke development, but he also introduced him to the butterfly stroke.  This was an added bonus I was not expecting.   And after each lesson Marton would kindly come out of the water and provide me with an update on how Field Trip Boy was progressing in lessons.  Marton was a wonderful role model for my son and I truly appreciate that.

I definitely plan on signing Field Trip Boy up for another series of swim lessons with Marton, but this time around he is going to teach Field Trip Boy the “egg beater” – a special water polo technique.  We are looking forward to it!

Waterworks Aquatics has been awarded “Best Swim Classes in Orange County” by Parenting OC Magazine for sixth consecutive years and now you know why!
