In honor of The Queen Mary’s 80th Anniversary, the public is invited to come on board for FREE on Thursday, May 26 from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm.

In honor of The Queen Mary’s 80th Anniversary, the public is invited to visit for FREE on Friday, May 27 from 10:00 am – 8:00 pm.

The Queen Mary made her first maiden voyage on May 27, 1936.  Over a quarter million admirers were on hand in Southampton that day to experience the magnificent Queen Mary’s world debut.  Now it’s your turn to be a part of this significant day in maritime history!

Queen Mary’s 80th Anniversary Events

During the Queen Mary’s 80th Anniversary celebration, there will be a plethora of activities throughout the day.  Be among the first to experience the Queen Mary’s new Exhibit – Passion for Painting: The Art of Winston Churchill Exhibit Aboard the Queen Mary.  Guests are invited to view the Press Opening Ceremony & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony from Main Deck of the bow at 10 am – 1 pm.  The exhibit is open to the public from 1 – 9 pm.

Presented by the Queen Mary’s Salon Series, enjoy historic programming in the Queen’s Salon, Royal Salon and Verandah Grill.  Space is limited for each presentation.  Seats available on a fist come, first serve basis.

In the Queen’s Salon from 10 am – 8 pm, you can see film screenings of:

Queen Mary: The Greatest Ocean liner (1-2 pm)

Queen Mary Voices Special Presentation with June Allen & Commodore Everette Hoard (2:15-3:15 pm)

Queen Mary: The Greatest Ocean liner (3:30-4:30 pm)

Our Relations Laurel & Hardy, 1936 film (4:30-5:45 pm)

Queen Mary: The Greatest Ocean liner (6-7 pm)

Queen Mary: The Greatest Ocean liner (7-8:15 pm)

In the Royal Salon from 10 am – 8 pm, you can experience:

Live lecture series – Lord Alan Watson + book signing (2-3 pm)

Commodore Warwick (4-5 pm)

Commodore Everette Hoard (6-7 pm)

Aboard the Sports Deck, games are available for guests to enjoy from 10 am – 6 pm:

Games include shuffleboard, quoits, badminton and ping pong.  Equipment is limited and rentals are available on a first come first serve basis.

On the Verandah Deck from 4pm – 7pm, enjoy a traditional USO Dance.

Furthermore, all Queen Mary day tours and Diana: Legacy of a Princess Exhibit will be available for just $10 and don’t miss out on the Special 80th Anniversary Tour for $12.  Plus catch a show in The Queen Mary 4-D Theater for just $6 per person.

Queen Mary Parking

On May 27, enjoy parking for a special rate of $12 per vehicle when entering between 10 am – 8 pm.  This free admission to the Queen Mary event will take place at 1126 Queens Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90802.
