Zipping Through San Diego in the 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited Fwd

Over spring break, my kids and I headed to San Diego for an epic mini-vacation.  During our vacation, we were privileged to test drive the new 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited Fwd.  The body of the Hyundai Tucson Limited Fwd. is just as sleek and smooth as its color in ruby wine.

The peppy and fuel-efficient 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine provided us an adventurous all the way ride from Edna Harper’s Topiary Garden in Mission Hills to The Flower Fields in Carlsbad.  I mostly drove the SUV in Sports Mode.  However, if you want to save money on gas, you can easily switch the vehicle to ECO mode, which is best used when driving on the freeway.  In general, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited Fwd. gets up to 25 mpg city / 30 mpg highway.

The 5-passenger SUV boasts some of the best technology and safety aids in the field including an electronic stability control with traction control, automatic emergency braking, downhill brake control, pedestrian detection and front, front side and side-curtain airbags with rollover sensors.

My favorite feature though is the tire pressure monitoring system with individual tire indicator.  Basically, if your tire looses air, the vehicle will notify you immediately that you need to put air in it and get it fixed.

The steering wheel console is sleek and smooth as well.  It has buttons for the AM/FM/MP3 premium audio system, blue tooth hands-free phone system, and cruise control.

The 8-inch touchscreen navigation system on the dashboard provides a rear view camera, which is also a nice safety feature.  Sometimes I wonder how we ever drove without one!

Next let’s talk about the interior of the vehicle!  The front and rear seats are made of beige colored leather and are quite appealing to the eye.  It was easy for me to adjust the leg room and height of both the driver and front passenger seats by using the controls buttons on the side.

The backseat can easily fit three passengers, but with only two in tow, my children had plenty of extra leg room to kick back and relax and read a book or play a video game.

They also liked using the center console to rest their elbows, hold their drinks or take a power nap!

Overall, the 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited Fwd gave us a quiet ride with limited noise and vibrations.  The only time it was loud was when I opened the panoramic sunroof, which is an additional feature on the vehicle.  The view outside was especially spectacular!

The new 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited Fwd is considered a medium size SUV.  The trunk held all three of our suitcases nicely, plus a few extra souvenirs for the road.  I also discovered that if you put down the two rear seats you could easily hold a medium size dog kennel or small bookshelf in the back.

The 2016 Hyundai Tucson Limited Fwd comes complete at $33,670.  Hyundai also has one of the best warranties in the business and as a personal Hyundai owner, I can contest to how useful it is.

Happy Driving!
