It’s time to pull out those old dusty Easter baskets and put them to good use!  Easter is right around the corner this year on April 5.  And with it, comes many Egg-trodinary Easter Events in Los Angeles and Orange County for our little ones.  From Easter egg hunts to a Bugs Bunny movie marathon to an Easter service at Knott’s Berry Farm, there is bound to be something for everyone in your family.

LOS ANGELES

American Girl Bunny Brunch @ The American Girl Store, March 22, 29 and April 4, 9 am (Los Angeles)

Share a delightful springtime brunch with your girl at American Girl Place Los Angeles, where she can meet The Grove’s own Easter Bunny and pose for a photo in the Cafe!  Includes one 5×7 photo per girl.  Cost: $22 per person.

Bugs Bunny Cartoon Classics at Aero Theatre, April 5, 4:00 – 5:30 pm (Santa Monica)

It’s rabbit season!  Celebrate spring with a thoroughly jolly, rabbit-filled family matinée of classic Warner Bros. cartoons.  Kids are welcome at come early at 3:30 pm and participate in an Easter egg hunt in the movie theatre!  Warner Bros. Cartoon program runs approx. 75 minutes.

Bunny’s Spring Fling at the LA Zoo & Botanical GardensMarch 20 – 22, 10 am – 4 pm (Los Angeles)

Kids can make bunny ears, pet bunnies and have their photo taken with Big Bunny and other cartoon characters.  There will be crafts, face painting, music and more.  Appropriate for all ages.

Downtown LA Easter Fest at Grand Hope ParkApril 5, 2 – 5 pm (Los Angeles)

New City Church will host Easter Fest at Grand Hope Park at W. 9th and Hope Streets in Downtown LA.  This outdoor festival includes Easter arts and crafts, face painting, races and games, a bounce house, food and drink and an Easter egg hunt with thousands of eggs.  Cost: $10 per family.

Easter on the Farm at Underwood Family Farms, March 28 – April 6, 9 am – 6 pm (Moorpark)

This annual Easter and springtime celebration at Underwood Family Farms includes photos with the Easter Bunny at the Easter House, crafts, an Easter Story Labyrinth, Hay pyramid, Combine slide, animal shows and a tractor-drawn wagon ride which are all included in the price of admission.  Additional activities, rides and games, including egg hunts, cost an additional fee.  Normal cost: $6 for 3 and up.

Egg Hunt @ Kidspace Museum, April 4 – 5, 11 am – 3 pm (Pasadena)

Hundreds of candy-filled eggs are hidden throughout the Kidspace Gardens just waiting to be found!  Children 4 years and younger hunt at 11:00 am, children between 5 and 10 years old hunt at 12:30 pm, the 2:00 pm Egg Hunt is open to all ages and the Members Only hunt is at 10:00 am.  Families can create spring art, learn the bunny hop, pet real bunnies with Bunny World Foundation, and more! Pre-registration is required and available online March 17 thru April 3.

Egg-ceptional Celebration at The LA County Arboretum & Botanic GardenApril 4, 9 am – 12 pm (Arcadia)

An Easter egg hunt and crafts for kids of all ages.  Cost: Normal admission price, plus $3 per child to participate in the Easter egg hunt.

EGG-Stravaganza at Grape Harbor Park, March 20, 10 am – 12 pm (Calabasas)

Free egg hunt, petting zoo, candy, crafts, bunny hop games and prizes.  Everyone is a winner!  Pictures with the Easter Bunny are $5 each.

Pershing Square Eggstravaganza, April 4, 12 – 4 pm (Los Angeles)

The City of Los Angeles’ Park and Recreation is hosting a FREE Pershing Square Community Egg Hunt in Downtown LA.  There will be prizes, poetry and storytelling, arts and crafts, children’s entertainment, inflatables and an egg hunts that will run in shifts accordingly to age group.

Visit the Bunny Museum on Easter DayApril 5, 2 – 7 pm (Pasadena)

Take your kids to spend time with real bunnies in LA!  Cost: $5, kids 4 and under free.

ORANGE COUNTY

Anaheim Farmers’ Market Easter Celebration, April 2, 11 am – 4 pm (Anaheim)

Meet the Easter Bunny and participate in craft activities.

Bonkers for Bunnies at the Orange County Zoo, March 13, 18, 27 and April 2, 2015, 10:15 am (Irvine)

Preschoolers ages 3-4 yrs. old have a chance to get up close and personal with real bunnies and related crafts.  Pre-registration required.

Brea Community Eggstravaganza & Celebration, April 4, 11 am – 3 pm (Brea)

The biggest FREE Easter egg hunt at The Celebration Worship Center in Brea!  Bring your favorite basket, collect as many eggs as you can, and turn them all in for prizes! This exciting Easter egg hunt will include over 20,000 eggs, carnival games, train rides, relays, prizes, arts & crafts, and face painting.  Advance registration is recommended.

Bunny Days sponsored by The City of Mission Viejo, April 4, 11 am – 2 pm (Mission Viejo)

Visitors to this spring-time festival will enjoy carnival game booths; spring crafts; pony rides; family games; a petting zoo; photos with the bunny; face painting; and more. Bunny Days boasts egg and candy treat stations for children 5 years old and older as well as the “Toddler Town” activity area for 2 to 4 year olds and special-needs participants. The area has age-appropriate activities, crafts, games and treat stations along with costumed characters roaming around. There are nominal fees for some activities.

Carrying Bunny @ The Westminster MallMarch 22, 8:30 – 10:30 am (Westminster)

Caring Bunny provides a subdued and welcoming environment for children with special needs and their families to visit and take pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Community Spring Celebration & Pancake Breakfast, March 18, 9 – 11:30 am (Aliso Viejo)

Join the Aliso Viejo Community at the Grand Park for an egg hunt, visit with Peter Rabbit, face painting, bounce house, DJ entertainment and children’s arts and crafts.  The pancake breakfast is hosted by Coast Hills Community Church.

Easter Eggstravaganza at North Orange Christian Church, April 4, 9 am – 12 pm (Orange)

Free egg hunts in shifts by age, carnival games, bounce houses, face painting and kids’ concert.

Easter Sunrise Service at Knott’s Berry Farm, April 5, 6 – 7 am (Buena Park)

Sunrise service inside Knott’s Berry Farm theme park hosted by the Orange County Southern Baptist Association.

Etnies Egg-cellent Egg Hunt @ Etnies Skate Park, April 4, 11 am – 1 pm (Lake Forest)

Come and visit the Skateboarding Bunny, play in the jump houses, and participate in fun crafts.  This is a family friendly event and great for the young ones!

Fourth Annual Spring Fling at SOCO, March 29, 10 am – 2 pm (Costa Mesa)

Put a spring in your step with Smocking Birds’ Fourth Annual Spring Fling at SOCO Collection in Costa Mesa.  This FREE, family-friendly event will include fun activities like face painting, a petting zoo, live music, egg hunts, bingo, and more – there’s something for everyone in the family!

Irvine Park Railroad Easter Eggstravaganza, March 14 – April 14 (Irvine)

The Easter Bunny is coming to The Irvine Park Railroad and we will be there as a family to meet him!  Children and adults can ride the train through beautiful Irvine Regional Park.  And, children ages 2 through 12 can participate in an Easter egg hunt.

Kidgits Easter Eggstravaganza @ The Shops of Mission Viejo, March 21, 10 am – 12 pm (Mission Viejo)

Join Kidgits for fun activities, crafts, and a show by Nick the Music man and Jen the Fairy Dancer!

Ostermarkt – Easter Bazaar @ The Phoenix Club, March 29, 11 am – 5 pm (Anaheim)

Spend a spring day enjoying The Phoenix Club’s Biergarten, tasting German specialties, and shopping for must have holiday items.   Enjoy homemade and delicious, split pea soup, Bratwurst and potato pancakes.  They feature vendors providing German imports, baked goods, arts and crafts, fashion and more.  Admission is FREE.
