Attend FREE Summer Nights in the Garden at The National History Museum in Los Angeles! Awaken your senses with great music, garden-inspired cocktails, hands-on garden and science projects, botanical tours, food trucks, and more. Come get outdoorsy and spend your Friday nights at NHM!
There are three remaining dates this summer! July 24, August 7 and 21 from 5 – 9 pm.
Admission to Summer Nights in the Garden is FREE, but advanced reservations are recommended. You can RSVP here.
Reservations for the July 24 event are no longer being accepted online, but additional tickets will be available at the door.
Friday, July 24 activities include:
- MUSIC with DJ Victoria Rawlins with guests, Downtown Horns
- COMPOSTING with LA Compost (*timed ticket required)
- PRESSED FLOWER BOOKMARKS (*timed ticket required)
- STARGAZING with Black Rock Observatory
- HERB BUNDLING with fresh ingredients from the NHM Nature Gardens

- PATIO CHATS with garden and citizen science experts
- SMOKE FLY SAMPLING with NHM Citizen Scientists
- ENCHANTING TOY THEATER PERFORMANCES by NHM Performing Arts Staff
- LIVE ANIMAL PRESENTATIONS
- ART INSTALLATION, “Edge of Color” by Sarah Rara of Lucky Dragons
*Activities require a timed-ticket; available on a first-come, first-served basis; ticket distribution located at the activity.
