Hear ye! Hear ye! Attention all donut lovers! Orange County’s first ever Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant is having a grand opening celebration on April 8 at their new store in Laguna Hills, California. Living in south Orange County, I have driven by the new budding location many times, and it is bound to be a big celebration!
Founded in 1950, Dunkin’ Donuts is America’s favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods. My first personal introduction to Dunkin’ Donuts was when I visited my husband’s side of the family in New Hampshire. Dunkin’ Donuts is a staple on the East Coast. The go-to place for coffee.
The new Laguna Hills location will offer residents the full array of Dunkin’ Donuts’ iconic offerings, including everything from fresh brewed coffee to delicious baked goods and sandwiches.
The Laguna Hills restaurant is located at 25242 McIntyre Street. The festivities kick off on April 8 at 5 a.m and run up until 11 p.m.
As a part of the opening day festivities, the first 100 people to order will receive a Dunkin’ Donuts tote bag filled with special items! Guests will also be greeted by adored mascot, Cuppy, and offered free passed samples and special giveaways throughout the day.
The Laguna Hills restaurant is a part of Dunkin’ Donuts’ DD Green Achievement program, which aims to help franchisees build sustainable, energy-efficient restaurants. The restaurant will include a variety of energy- and water-saving features, such as LED light fixtures, low-flow faucets and highly efficient heating and cooling systems. A DD Green Achievement plaque will be displayed in-store signifying the restaurant’s achievement in energy reduction and sustainable design.
Local dignitaries will be in attendance to commence the ceremonial grand opening ribbon cutting and welcome Dunkin’ Donuts to Laguna Hills. The opening ceremony will also include a check presentation to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County. In alignment with Dunkin’ Donuts’ goal to support children’s health, the restaurant will donate $1,000 to help the organization meet the needs of children and families with first-class care and state-of-the-art facilities.
The Laguna Hills franchise will be operated by Precision Hospitality & Development, owned by Brad Anderson and Joe Haupt. The franchise group has plans to develop 10 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in South Orange County and the surrounding area over the coming years.
