FREE Los Angeles Environmental Education Fair for Kids this Saturday, March 14!

Los Angeles Environmental Education FairChildren, families and educators alike are all invited to attend the FREE annual Los Angeles Environmental Education Fair at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden this Saturday, March 14 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

The Los Angeles Environmental Education Fair (LAEEF) is a celebration of environmental science resources and service learning.  Students from schools around Los Angeles County share their success with local service learning projects.  Environmental Education resource providers provide hands-on experiences for attendees and showcase the resources they provide.

Activities include:

  • Arcadia High School Nature Passports – A variety of hands-on science and nature activities will be offered.  Collect stamps in your passport as you complete them. Join the fun!
  • Kidspace Museum booth activities – The museum’s mission is to nurture the potential of all children through kid-driven experiences, inspiring them to become joyful, active learners.
  • Music
  • Smart Gardening/Composting Workshop
  • Community art stations
  • Storytelling
  • Live animals exhibits
  • Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots – Come see student service project displays and learn how you can join the youth movement to make change happen in your community.
  • Workshops
  • Food
  • TreeMap LA – TreeMapLA is an ambitious collaboration of nonprofits, local governments, businesses and local residents to map every tree in Greater Los Angeles.
