Over Christmas break, my kids and I headed up to Northern California to visit with my family. It had been some time since we had last seen my parents, so it was a perfect excuse to rent a car and hit the road!
Have you ever dreamed of driving a car with all the latest technology and cool gadgets and you finally got the opportunity to do it? Well, this is what happened to me when I found out I was going to drive the all new 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT to Northern California. It was love at first test drive! The Mitsubishi Outlander GT is full of so many features, it’s hard to not want to drive it every day. So if you’re considering this vehicle, here are some features to look out for.
2017 Mitsubishi Outlander Interior Features
My kids are growing up quickly. This means a lot of room is needed in any vehicle that I drive. The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT is perfect for a family of four like ours who needs more room as the kids get taller and want to stetch out.
This amazing vehicle can seat up to 7 passengers, thanks to the comfortable third row. Because of its standard 50/50-split third-row seat’s 28.2 inches of legroom, the Outlander is classified as a mid-size crossover.
Furthermore, everyone in the car can enjoy front dual-zone automatic climate control and premium Rockford Fosgate surround sound. There’s no more need to fight over who can sit closer to the speaker!
2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Entertainment Package
When you are in a vehicle as much as we are, you appreciate top notch entertainment. The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT does not disappoint. This vehicle has 9 speakers in total, which allows everyone to hear the music. There is dual USB ports, which is important when you have a preteen in the car who always wants to be on technology. There is also digital HD radio and a hands-free Link System with Bluetooth technology. My favorite feature though, was the blind spot sensor, which I used often while driving on the 5 freeway to Northern California. You have to be careful on the 5 freeway, because people like to drive up to 90 miles per hour.
2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Exterior Features
The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT is a beautiful vehicle and very well engineered. It has everything from deep tinted glass to a chrome grille to alloyed wheels.
The LED fog lights were especially useful when I had to drive through a windy canyon to my sister’s house. It was quite foggy outside. The heated-power adjustable side-view mirrors were also beneficial when I couldn’t see, because of the rain.
2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT Under the Hood
The most noticeable feature though about the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT is was it’s 3.0 L V6 engine. The engine was powerful enough to get us up and over the California Grapevine which has an elevation of 1,499, while also being as quiet as a mouse. I personally have never driven such a peaceful sounding vehicle.
Overall, the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander GT receives 20 city / 27 highway MPG and has a starting sticker price of $31,695.
Happy Driving!
