If you’ve followed SoCal Field Trips for some time, then you know I am a strong proponent of introducing children to a variety of careers at a young age. This includes careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics, otherwise known as STEAM.
Now here’s your chance to introduce your children to the world of STEAM! Families are invited to learn, discover, and play at OC STEAM Fest, presented by Irvine Public Schools Foundation, on Saturday, April 25 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Orange County Great Park.
Enjoy a fun-filled day of games and activities related to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) including Dino Encounters, Physics with Disney, esports, bubble art, live performances, and much more.
What To Do At OC STEAM Fest
Last year’s event featured a Esports Zone sponsored by Kingston Technology that brought together local school teams for a lively Esports tournament. Other activities included LEGO Supertrack with BrainStorm STEM Education, Recycling with Waste Management, Solar Robot Creations with Altair Solar, and Robot Block Demolitions with Code Ninjas – Irvine.
In addition, the crowd enjoyed live entertainment from IPSF’s Afterschool Enrichment Musical Program, a “Super Cool” science presentation from Discovery Cube, an Ice Age Show featuring Amka the Woolly Mammoth, presented by Dino Encounters, and a talented Japanese drumming group from UCI.
Tickets to OC STEAM Fest
Pre-sale tickets online are $10 for children 4 -17, children 3 and under and adults 18+ are free! Tickets are $15 at the door.
