FREE Kids’ Day at Muzeo to see the Cougars and Grizzlies: Sharing Their Path Exhibit!

A new exhibit has come to Southern California called Cougars and Grizzles: Sharing Their Path!  And Friday, July 11 from 10 am – 5 pm is FREE Kids’ Day to see “Cougars and Grizzlies”!  Kids are free (2 max) with a paid adult admission.

Kids’ Day is full of fun activities including:

  • Self guided and docent led tours
  • Exhibit scavenger hunt
  • Hands-on crafts
  • Storytelling

The mighty grizzly once ruled the Bear Republic, but you’ll no longer find Ursus californicus roaming the Santa Ana Mountains or along the Los Angeles River.  The California grizzly bear became extinct in 1924 and serves as a cautionary tale for another apex predator: the mountain lion.

The current exhibit at Muzeo in Anaheim, Cougars and Grizzlies: Sharing Their Path juxtaposes the fate of the California grizzly bear with the future of the mountain lion.

An accompanying exhibit shows how The Transportation Corridor Agencies are keeping mountain lions and drivers safer through wildlife undercrossings and GPS tracking.

Happy Field Tripping,

Jilleen
