The role of a mom can be daunting at times! Between cooking and cleaning, doing laundry, shuttling the kids around, helping with homework and other household responsibilities, I am exhausted by the end of the day. No wonder my husband likes to call me his little domestic engineer!
I recently decided to shake up my normal household routine with the Viva® Vantage® 7-Day Switch Up challenge! Viva® knows that people get into routines and sometimes get stuck in a rut – especially when it comes to your brand of paper towels. I know I do! So that’s why I decided to join the “switch up” revolution and give Viva® Towels a try in my own home.
Last week, I attended a Viva® Vantage® 7-Day Switch Up Party with a group of bloggers friends at a beautiful home in Seal Beach, California. I learned all about the clever ways you can use Viva® Towels for entertaining, cleaning and multi-tasking around your home.
We shared all sorts of paper towel tricks with the group! Stefanie uses paper towels to wrap the ends of her hair when curling them. Another mom uses paper towels when crafting with her kids. One mom even makes homemade baby wipes out of them! Personally, I like to use paper towels to wipe my puppy’s feet when he comes in after a walk.
At the Viva® Vantage® 7-Day Switch Up Party, I discovered even more creative uses for paper towels. For example, if you clean a wine glass with a Viva® Towel it comes out lint free. No more chasing after dust bunnies when pouring a good glass of wine!
Viva® Towels are perfect for straining and scrubbing fruits and vegetables prior to eating. I see now why people prefer the stretchy-strength of Viva® Vantage®, recently named a 2015 Product of the Year, over their current paper towel brand. They have great scrubbing power!
Typically when I think about paper towels, I think of using them to clean up messes. But did you know that Viva® Towels are great for preventing messes too? For example, you can use a Viva® Towel to stop drips when pouring salad dressing or to drain left over olive oil.
Another friend showed us how to use paper towels to spread olive oil in a pan before cooking polenta.
There are even more clever ways to use paper towels!
- Cook bacon without the mess – I like to put two paper towels on a plate and lay slices of bacon side by side, on the paper towels. Then cover the slices with two more paper towels. Once cooked, toss the paper towels in the trash and you have no mess!
- Prevent rust from forming on cast-iron pots – After they’re clean, place a paper towel in each pan to absorb any moisture and store in a cool dry place.
- Separate your toes during a pedicure – Nail salons like to use them to help your toe nails dry quicker. The further apart your nails, the less chance of nicks too.
After my personal experience with Viva® Vantage® paper towels, I highly encourage you to take up your own 7-Day Switch Up challenge! To get started, head over to the Viva® Vantage® website and grab a discount coupon to purchase and try out the product. Afterwards, share with me some of the creative ways that YOU used the Viva® Towels!
