Attend the FREE Kite Festival on Sunday, August 23 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa! Join the Center for high-flying family fun.
This event is presented in conjunction with OCMA’s current exhibit “My Generation: Young Chinese Artists.”
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
– Kite design and building stations
– Professional kite flying demonstrations
– Kite Display provided by Up, Up, and Away and The Kite Connection
– Student Art Display provided by The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana
– A performance from Segerstrom Teaching Artists The Pacific Trio
– A martial arts demonstration from Yulin Chinese School
– Re-Play Youth Dance Group performing the traditional Chinese Handkerchief Dance and Yi – Skirt Dance
– Imagination playground
– Caricature drawings
