Pop-up art installations are the latest rage all over Southern California! From Candytopia in Santa Monica to the soon-to-opened Avocado Museum in San Diego, pop-up installations are fun for people of all ages.
Now it’s LA’s turn! BLOOM – an interactive, pop-up art show with nearly a dozen large-scale installation art pieces, spread out over 100,000 square feet of lush grass in Griffith Park – is coming to Los Angeles from June 22 – 24. With giant dandelions to wish under, a rolling field of pinwheel poppies and a House of Flowers, you will be playing in rose petals and weaving yourself into a sea of jacaranda.
Bloom LA Coming To Griffith Park in June
Angelenos are welcome to snap a selfie amongst hundreds of flower creations, stick their toes in the soil, envelop themselves in the scent of wild jasmine, soak in a tub of fresh lavender or picnic under the flower teepees.
With a focus on handcrafted art, BLOOM aims to leave your spirit uplifted and your camera full of fun pictures. From edible flowers and delectable treats to hands-on workshops, food trucks and musical guests, BLOOM celebrates the splendid beauty of flowers.
For the event, BLOOM has partnered with Honeylove, a local nonprofit conservation organization with a mission to protect the honeybees and inspire and educate new urban beekeepers. There will presentations on these crucial pollinators throughout the day, provided by Los Angeles’ The Valley Hive.
How To Get Tickets To Bloom LA
To sum it up, BLOOM is a great opportunity to take some beautiful new Instagram pictures for your feed, hear some good music, get your face painted, make a flower crown or two and help save honeybees.
