Ring in 2019 at the 55th annual Snow Summit Torchlight Parade. Watch 200+ skiers and snowboarders light up the night as they make their way down the face of the mountain in the dark with torches to create a spellbinding spectacle of light before the (snow)ball drops.   Other activities include DJ entertainment, activation booths, face painting, champagne toast, stilt walkers, fire dancers, a photobooth and bounce house for kids.  Come early and enjoy the snow!

Math Matters (11:30 am & 3:00 pm):  Countdown Clock – Let’s count from 1-10 and then back down again from 10-1! Children will use various materials such as buttons, beads, and other manipulatives to practice their counting skills, learn one to one correspondence, and the ability to count backwards which will be a useful skill to use for our Noon-Year’s eve countdown.

First Night Fullerton New Year’s Eve Party, Fullerton, 12/31 @ 7:00 pm – 12:00 am (Returning in 2021!)

The City of Fullerton will be celebrating the 28th anniversary of the annual “First Night Fullerton” on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 from 7:00 p.m. to 12 midnight. This popular family-oriented, alcohol-free event will take place in Downtown Fullerton on Harbor Blvd., Pomona Ave., and Wilshire Ave. The event is free to the public and has an estimated attendance of over 15,000 guests every year.

This year’s festival will feature musical stage performances by a variety bands, stilt walkers, carnival games, food vendors and the Kids Lane. Back by popular demand, Zip Lining will be the main attraction on Harbor Blvd.   The festival ends at midnight as the sky lights up with an incredible aerial display of fireworks to ring in the New Year.

WinterFest New Year’s Eve Celebration, OC Fair and Event Center, Costa Mesa, 12/31 @ 6:00 pm – Midnight (Returning in 2021!)

New Years Eve, Winter Fest OC plans to drop the inaugural Orange Ball and light up the sky with fireworks, cover band and a not-to-miss 1,000 balloon drop at midnight. For families looking for a fun experience to ring in the New Year, a special countdown, drop of the inaugural Orange Ball, 1,000 balloon drop, cover band and fireworks will be celebrated at 6pm.  No additional fee for New Years Eve Celebration, it is included in your December 31 admission ticket or season pass.

The Disneyland tradition of nightly fireworks first debuted in 1958, when Walt Disney asked his Imagineers to create a memorable finale for park Guests. They created Fantasy in the Sky, a fireworks show set to beloved Disney music. Kids of all ages can watch with nostalgia or view the extravaganza for the very first time.

“Midnight” comes early for families at LEGOLAND California Resort, celebrating the New Year together without missing their bedtimes. Ring in 2020 at The Mad Hatter’s Ball, a family-friendly event that is sure to keep everyone entertained hosted by The Westin and Sheraton Carlsbad Resort & Spa.  Guests can enjoy a night filled with kid-friendly activities, a gourmet buffet, live DJ, balloon drop, and unforgettable memories made while dancing the night away.  Prizes will be given for the Best Dressed Family and Best Dressed Couple. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the event goes until 12:30 a.m.

The Kids Party Zone features a Gamer Room with Xbox, Kinect, Dance Central, racing games, and Wii. Other activities include face painting, ping pong, foosball, billiards, and the Kids Club Party Zone.

The clock strikes midnight twice at this shindig. The Kids Club Party Zone will be counting down with a balloon drop for the East Coast at 9 p.m., and the main drop at midnight will ring in the New Year with a live countdown and a complimentary champagne toast for those 21 and up.

Who says you have to wait until midnight to celebrate?  Join Boomer’s in Irvine as we ring in the New Year with a fun, new twist! The party starts at 11:30AM— that’s right, AM!  There will be a fun photo op, party hats and noisemakers, a traditional countdown to 12 o’clock, a balloon drop when the clock strikes noon and a new year’s toast with kid-friendly bubbly.  All the fun and excitement of New Year’s without missing bedtime!

Skating Plus’ New Year’s Eve Party For Kids, Ventura, 12/31 @ 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm (Returning in 2021!)

Celebrate the New Year while skating and dancing away with your friends!  Hats and horns provided.  Awesome balloon drop at 4 pm.  Admission is $10 per person with skate rental extra.

A special skate party is planned to ring in the New Year!  Admission is $15 per person and includes a special souvenir, hats and horns, pizza, soda and many more surprises.  Strict supervision, no in/out privileges.  No food or drinks may be brought in.  Parents always welcome to watch free of charge.
