Homeschool Ice Skating Day at Aliso Viejo Ice Palace, Aliso Viejo
The Aliso Viejo Ice Palace is dedicated to providing you with the finest experience on ice skates. Their rink serves south Orange County with public skating, freestyle skating, birthday parties, broom hockey, skating lessons, and hockey for all ages. They also have a homeschool ice skating day on Mondays. Sign ups are not required.
Homeschool Days at Aquarium of the Pacific, Long Beach
Unique for homeschoolers, the Aquarium of the Pacific offers special Homeschool Days once in the fall and once in the spring tailored just for homeschool students and their families. No other classroom-based school trips are booked during this time. The Aquarium’s educators set up engaging learning stations that allow homeschoolers of all ages to experiment, investigate and explore marine habitats and concepts. In December, they also host a Homeschool Holiday event.

Homeschool Day at The Autry Museum, Los Angeles
A few times a year The Autry Museum in LA hosts homeschool days for the community. Various programs and classes are available on these special days. Check their website for updated information.
Homeschool Days at The California Science Center, Los Angeles
The California Science Center strives to provide homeschool students with opportunities to explore science in fun and unique ways. The Center offers programs for both individual homeschool students and large groups alike.
On select days throughout the school year, the Center invites homeschool students to visit on Homeschool Days and explore a variety of science concepts. Each day the Center features age-appropriate activities that are held in their educational classrooms and the Big Lab. Classes are offered for students based on the following age ranges: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-16. Sessions in the morning are from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and session in the afternoon are from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

Homeschool Day at The Children’s Museum of La Habra, La Habra
In January, The Children’s Museum of Habra welcomes Homeschool families to discover, learn and play at the museum. For a discounted price (children under 2 are free), homeschoolers can enjoy 10,000 square feet of interactive exhibits during their less crowded season.
Homeschool Public Skate & Hockey at Corona Inline, Corona
Homeschool Public Skating and Hockey at Corona Inline takes place on the first Monday of every month from 2-4pm, as well as the third Thursday of every month from 10am-noon. The cost which includes skate rentals. Skate assists are available for an extra fee; hockey gear not included.

Discovery Cube welcomes homeschool families to use the Cube as a teaching tool. They periodically offer special discounts, offer exclusive workshops and other unique opportunities for homeschool students and their parents. Call for more information.
Get Air Surf City, Huntington Beach
Get Air Surf City offers homeschool hour every Wednesday. The trampoline park offers a variety of jump areas plus a newly remodeled obstacle area, foam pits, a dodge ball area, a basketball area, and a toddler zone. There is no formal programming here, but kids love the free jump time and always leave sweaty.
Rockin’ Jump, Santa Ana
Enjoy Rockin’ Jump as your preferred venue for physical activity! Let the kids jump on our numerous trampolines, climb our rock wall, and battle it out with friends on our X-Beam all while they enjoy fitness disguised as fun. We offer numerous activities and special programs all aimed to support a healthy outing for jumpers of all ages. Homeschool hours are every Monday, Thursday & Friday from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. Homeschool Classes at the Fleet Science Center, San Diego
The Fleet Science Center makes it super easy for homeschool students to book a Science Workshop. Choose from any one of their many workshop topics and call (619) 238-1233 x806 to book a date that works best for you. Advance registration is required. The workshop fee includes the workshop itself and gallery admission for students only. There is a minimum of 10 students per class. One adult chaperone per 10 students is also required.
Homeschool Days at Fort Cross Old Timely Adventures, Julian
Fort Cross is a family owned and operated outdoor education center nestled in the beautiful mountains of San Diego County. They offer living history and a variety of other educational programs that involve music, art, survival skills, team building, and agriculture workshops. Throughout the year, they host specific homeschool field trip days.
Homeschool Days at The Irvine Park Railroad, Irvine
Every April, The Irvine Park Railroad hosts three homeschool field trips days as a part of their annual California History Education Program at The Irvine Regional Park. Tickets go fast! Registration opens in January. The field trip includes a train ride, a mine shaft tour, a water wheel demonstration and panning for gold. For the 2022-2023, they are not hosting homeschool days though.

Homeschool Adventure Fest at Irvine Ranch Outdoor Adventure Center, Orange
Once or twice a year, the Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center opens it’s doors to homeschoolers and invites you and your children (ages 5-13) to learn how Scouting can enhance your child’s educational experience with engaging, hands-on learning. Lunch and kids activities are provided at a nominal cost. Call for more information.
Homeschool Days at Kidspace Children’s Museum, Pasadena
Kidspace Children’s Museum Homeschool Days take place once in the fall and in the spring. Each student is invited to participate in one of the museum’s signature Discovery Programs along with other homechoolers. There is no fee for accompanying adults. Siblings not participating in the program pay the regular museum admission. No minimum number of students required to sign up. One adult must be present for every 5 students registered. Homeschool Field Trips at The LA Arboreteum, Arcadia
The LA Arboreteum offers two field trip options during the school year to enhance a homeschool students’ educational experience. These options include their Self-Guided and Guided field trips. They require all groups to have a minimum number of 10 students to make a reservation which qualifies you for free student entry, Monday-Friday during the school year.
All groups, including homeschool self-guided and guided tours are required to have a minimum 1:10 ratio of adults to children for supervision purposes. Adult chaperones are admitted free of charge up to a ratio of 1:5. Any adults without an Arboretum membership over this ratio are $9.00. Students up to 18 years old/12th grade are free with a reservation.
Homeschool Day at La Brea Tar Pits and Page Museum, Los Angeles
The La Brea Tar Pits & Museum offers four days each school year when Homeschoolers can come free of charge. Each Homeschool Day has an assigned theme with free drop-in activities designed to help you and your students get the most out of their exhibits.
Any student receiving academic instruction at home for grades PreK (3 years old) through Grade 12 and his/her educators qualify for free admission on Homeschool Days. Proof of homeschooling and advance registration is not required. Parking is $15. Stay tuned for upcoming dates for the 2019-2020 school year.
LA County FairKids Field Trip Program, Pomona
LA Country FairKids field trips are on Wednesdays through Fridays throughout the season. Admission and parking is free for any homeschooler in preschool – high school. Teachers and chaperones are free too.
The LA County Fair opens three hours early at 9 am on field trip days for children to participate in controlled fun and educational activities related to agriculture, art, science, literature, California heritage, and life on a real farm. All programs are also grade-level and subject specific. If you’re looking to beat the crowds, the first week of FairKids and Wednesdays have the lowest attendance.

LEGOLAND California Homeschool Days, Carlsbad
LEGOLAND California offers a discounted rate for California Home School groups, on weekdays during regular Park hours in September – June. Tickets are $28 Adult or Child for admission to LEGOLAND, and $33 Adult or Child for admission to LEGOLAND and SEA LIFE Aquarium, for verified Home School-serving Charters or Home School families.
You need to have a party of at least 10 people to purchase tickets to attend Homeschool Days at LEGOLAND California. Guests arriving in family groups must show Home School verification at Guest Services to redeem offer. Payment required in advance.
Staff-led, family-friendly education workshops are also available. Workshops must be booked in advance when reserving your tickets.
Homeschool Days at The Mission San Juan Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano
Join The Mission San Juan Capistrano every 3rd Wednesday of the month for Homeschool Family Day. The discount package includes child admission, an audio tour, panning for gold, adobe brick making, koi fish food, Mission Clubhouse ID card and Mission Passport. The NHM of LA offers four days each school year when Homeschoolers can come free of charge. Each Homeschool Day has an assigned theme with free drop-in activities designed to help you and your students get the most out of their exhibits.

On the third Friday of the month, Pretend City host a Homeschool Dayand offers a special discounted rate of $9.00 per child or adult to visit the museum. Homeschool students have unlimited access to Pretend City’s 17 interactive exhibits offering learning through fun experiences.
All of their educational exhibits develop foundational math, reading, and science skills, while fostering curiosity and inspiration, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, organization, teamwork, self-confidence and socialization.

Riley’s Apple Farm hosts Homeschool Days in the spring and fall. During a tour, students enjoy a hands-on living history tour of the apple farm from 10 am – 2 pm. Advance reservations are required.
Homeschool Day at Riley’s Stone Soup Farm & Hertitage Orchard, Oak Glen
Riley’s Stone Soup Farm & Heritage Orchard is a century old, family owned and operated vintage apple orchard. They engage in preserving a heritage community through heirloom growing, educational programs and artisan culture.
Riley’s Stone Soup Farm & Heritage Orchard hosts Homeschool Days in the spring and fall. Enjoy the daily adventures of a homesteading family, learning from their skills and crafts in an interactive tour. Like many pioneering and rural families, the traditional education of children was conducted in the home and on the farm.

Homeschool Field Trips at SeaWorld San Diego, San Diego
Enhance your home education program with an Instructional Field Trip to SeaWorld. The program provides students with an unforgettable day of exploration as they connect to wildlife and the world we share. The field trips begins right on time at 9:30 a.m. and ends sharply at 1:30 p.m. The field trip includes an educational animal presentation and a self-guided viewing of SeaWorld’s animal habitats. On the day of the visit, each adult chaperone will also receive a Field Trip Guide to facilitate learning.

UNofficial Homeschool Day at Disneyland, Anaheim
The first ever UNofficial Homeschool Day at Disneyland was held in 2007. Anyone who homeschools or uses other alternative types of education are invited to come and hang out at the park with their fellow homeschoolers. The main part of the event is the picture in front of the castle at 2 pm sharp. Don’t miss it!
